What is the Best of Edwardsville exactly?
This year, Big Z Media, a multimedia advertising company, created an online event to help local businesses cut thru the turmoil and thrive in all economic conditions. Big Z Media partnered with Elite Insights to bring the inaugural Best of Edwardsville magazine to our community to celebrate a critical component of any great community…the LOCAL business community. There will be over 7500 printed magazines dispersed throughout our town to showcase all the great work that is being done in here our community.
My name is Meagan and I am the owner of Boheme Boutique. We opened Boheme in November 2020 (great timing, right?!) The past few years have been challenging, but there is SO much to be celebrated in our town of Edwardsville, Illinois. Our wonderful community voted Boheme Boutique, the BEST Boutique, BEST Women's Clothing, and BEST Place to Buy a Unique Gift. To win an award, much less 3, after only operating less than 2 years is the BEST thing that could have happened to us this past year. I would like to express my sincere gratitude for the recognition and support that has been awarded to us. I want to thank those who sponsored and organized this event for our wonderful community. What an incredible way to showcase all these businesses who make Edwardsville what it is.
To our customers and voters for putting us on the map and acknowledging our blood sweat and tears, we really can't thank you enough. You all inspire and encourage us every single day. We will continue to improve, persevere, and put in the work to bring the best to you, this community and online.
I want to acknowledge my extraordinary staff. Without you, this small business would not be what it is. I'm so lucky to have so many gifted girls in our Boheme family. I want to also thank my husband who is the true definition of support and sacrifice, my parents and in-laws who always show up when I need them, the collaborations with other local small business owners that have brought me the very best of friendships; we truly believe in community over competition and I am so blessed to have other hard-working women business owners to do life (and business) with! The support from everyone and this community has been truly the best. Last but not least, to my children who have made the ultimate sacrifice of lost time with their Mama, all the late nights and dinners at the boutique and the work related "vacations" ... I do this for you, and my desire to be a leading example of following your dreams, whatever they may be. It really does take a village and I am so very thankful for mine.
